Meet Carolina

Our social media team has been growing over the past few months! We played ’10 questions’ with one of our new recruits Carolina to get to know them better.

Meet Carolina Domínguez (Digital Account Executive)

Why Circul8?

The way Circul8 strives to be “best for the world” instead of “best in the world” really resonated with me. The projects and clients we take on all aim to enrich people’s lives whether it’s by education, community, or health. It was the first time I had ever seen an agency position itself in this way.

Also, an agency founded and run by strong female leaders? Say less!

What are three words that best describe you?

Passionate, driven, and daring.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

People don’t know I’m an absolute horror movie addict, I’ll even watch them alone in the dark. The adrenaline I get is unmatched.

Which season is your favorite?

Summer, hands down. The clear blue skies, burning bright sun, long days at the beach, peaceful swimming – it’s definitely the best season.

If you could only have three apps on your phone, which would you pick?

TikTok: I, unfortunately, spend about 5 hours a day on that app. From true crime, cute cat accounts, clothing hacks, and travel tips – the app is so versatile I never get bored.

Instagram: I love following my favourite celebrities and influencers as well as getting inspo for client accounts on there.

Spotify: I need my salsa music, Taylor Swift tunes, true crime podcasts, and dumb girl talk podcasts to keep me sane.

If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?

It would definitely be talking to animals. I have a cat who’s my whole entire life and I would LOVE to be able to communicate with her. Besides that, I think it would be interesting to see what knowledge and insights animals could give and how that’ll shape our minds and the future.

What excites you about the future of our industry?

10 years ago today I never would’ve imagined the power and influence of social media and the entire economy it has created. I am beyond excited to see how this industry will flourish, find new ways to tell stories, and showcase brands to the world. I’m sure whatever I’m imagining in my brain won’t be nearly as close to how awesome (or scary) it’ll actually be!

If you could live in any other city in the world, which would you choose?

I would love to live in Positano, Italy. My love for the Italian language grew in high school with my late Italian teacher Signora Pécora whose eyes would light up talking about Positano. The people, the food, the views, the cliffside villages in southern Italy’s Amalfi Coast. It seems like an amazing place to live. It would definitely be an awesome change from the hustle and bustle of Sydney.

What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

While on a trip to Perú in 2019, I volunteered at a couple of shelters for homeless and abandoned children. While confronting, it definitely showed me how privileged I am. I was reluctant to participate at first as I’m sensitive when seeing suffering but putting a smile on their faces has definitely been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.

If you could trade places with anyone (dead or alive) for a day, who would you choose?

I would love to trade places with Kylie Jenner for a day. While it seems shallow, I would love to see what a day in her life looks like as on social media, it looks like an endless display of glitz, glamour, parties, trips, and expensive gifts. It would be interesting to see if her real life is actually as glamorous as she portrays on socials. Additionally, it would be eye-opening to see what burdens come with such wealth and fame and get answers to these timeless questions.

Can money make you genuinely happy? If so, for how long?

Would I feel less sad crying in a 5 million-dollar mansion and pink Bugatti?
